Symbolic Externalization from Deep Prehistory to Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is routinely framed as a rupture in human history. This paper argues instead that AI is the current stage of a continuous process of symbolic externalization that began in deep prehistory — tracing the DSSM framework across cave stratigraphy, verified oral tradition, and current AI systems research.
