Locating the Ramayana

A comprehensive evidentiary survey of the Ramayana’s geography, genealogy, ecology, and archaeological context. Applying the methodology used to corroborate Homeric geography — independent multi-attestation preceding site-level confirmation — this paper tests what can be verified about places named in Valmiki’s Ramayana against sources entirely outside the epic tradition.
